The Lordship of Two

For our study of True Father’s 2010 proclamation,
let’s begin with the first phrase, “The King of Kings is one being, God.”
True Father’s first words, “King of Kings,” declare God’s Lordship, dominion, governance.
“The King of Kings is one being” tells us that God is One, that the first and last, beginning and end, Alpha and Omega are One, that the goal of Two is their perfection as One. From this perspective, One has priority over Two.
But if One is the beginning and end, then why does anything happen in between? It’s because of the nature of the One. Inside of every One are Two that became One. Two becoming One is why everything happened and keeps happening. That’s why Cheon Il Guk is not the nation of One, but the nation where Two One. Cheon Il Guk is a like , it is flowing water.
is the unification, the perfected relationship, of That relationship is substance. Subject-object relationship creates energy, and energy creates matter. The is a relationshipof Cain and Abel. Marriage is a relationship. Every social entity is a relationship. A market economy is a relationship. Reality is relationships.
Deprived of relationships, we feel what? Empty, alone, meaningless, lost.
True Father taught that while the One has priority, it does not overcome the Two. When Two become One perfectly, each retain their identity, their integrity as individuals in their own right. Father said it’s not the Chinese character (化) in the word “chemistry,” which means that chemical reactions change the parts. Rather, it is “the Chinese character (和) in (一和), [which] implies that the substance is unchanged, even though it may harmonize with a thousand different entities.”
That is to say, when hydrogen and oxygen combine to form water, each loses their identity. No more oxygen, no more hydrogen. But when God and a person combine in love, or man and woman combine in marriage, or buyer and seller in a transaction, or partner and partner in a corporation, each not only maintains but their identity.
With these things in mind, let’s look at the second clause, “and the True Parent is one person, one parent.”
