The Spirit Tells the Story

True Father once said that we are “the sons and daughters of True Mother, the woman who represents the world. Mother isthe Holy Spirit.”True Mother embodies the Holy Spirit, and part of the Spirit’s divine mission is to set forth the acts of God. The Spirit tells the story. The Spirit told the Old Testament story through prophets and scribes, and the New Testament story through disciples and pastors. Today, True Mother and her sons and daughters are telling the Completed Testament story.

In the Old Testament Age, the Spirit of God gave Joseph discernment and wisdom:

“Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the Spirit of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.”

In the New Testament Age, the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to preach:

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

In the Completed Testament Age, the Holy Spirit empowered True Mother to meet True Father and become True Parents:

Because Adam and Eve fell and lost their family foundation, another representing perfected Adam meets the perfected Eve and has a family.

Since the Spirit is One, the three ages are One. Therefore, True Father declared that “Mother set the conditions to qualify as the Mother of three ages.”

Together with True Parents, we are unifying the Old, New and Completed Testaments, encompassing all religions, races and nations in Cheon Il Guk. True Mother is devoted to research our story and tell it to the world.

For this cause, last summer we opened the Sunhak Institute of History. The 2017 Foundation Day program shares the Institute’s broad outline of True Parents’ course:

Following their Holy Wedding, True Parents completed the providence of restoration through indemnity through their 40-year course (1960-2000). Going beyond the Old Testament Age, the New Testament Age and the Completed Testament Age, they have ushered in a providential era in which … God’s original ideal of creation can expand. For this reason, in 2001, True Parents proclaimed a 12-year course to establish Cheon Il Guk….

This week we will examine the outline of those 12 years.
